Pre-School |
Children enter IIS Pre-School from age 2. The IB PYP curriculum is taught to students from Nursery (Age 3) to KG (Age 5). Children at IIS are encouraged to be in charge of their learning. Preschool needs to complete 4 units from the themes of their choice. Through exploration and investigation the children develop the skills to conduct research, empowering them with the tools to understand their world.

As an IB candidate school, we are implementing the PYP programme. The IBO works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of education and rigorous assessment. Our performance is monitored by the IBO and training is provided by them for our teachers and staff in order to keep them up-to-date with the latest developments in curriculum design.

The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) has been developed by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate in collaboration with international schools. It is based on the English National Curriculum GCSE model but tailored to international student needs. The IGCSE qualification is an internationally recognised passport to post-16 education, e.g. for International Baccalaureate studies, A-levels, or other national examination systems.
